If you are wondering what is WakeID and WakeID Portal, then this blog post is for you. WakeID is a unique identifier assigned to every student and staff member in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) in North Carolina, USA. The WakeID Portal is an online platform that allows students, staff, and parents to access and manage their WakeIDs and associated accounts. Through the portal, users can reset passwords, manage email accounts, and access various online resources such as Google Classroom, Canvas, and PowerSchool. It also provides access to WCPSS’s online services such as student enrollment, transportation, and food services. It is a centralized platform that provides a one-stop-shop for all digital resources and services provided by the WCPSS.
WakeID Portal Login
In WakeID Portal my WakeID is used as the username for students and staff to access various technology resources provided by the WCPSS, such as email, online learning platforms, and other digital tools. The WakeID also helps to ensure the security and privacy of student and staff data by providing a secure login system.
The WakeID Portal is divided into three sections: header bar, app launcher, and favorites bar. WCPSS is implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with Duo.
Please browse through the official website for WakeID Portal Login WakeID Portal (wcpss.net). Then you will be asked to select user type where you will see two options one is Staff and the other is Student. After that you need to enter your WakeID and then click on Continue to Login button.
How to Claim my WakeID Account?
In order to claim your account, you need to follow the below 3 steps.
- All new staff are required to visit the WakeID Portal and claim their WakeID by answering three security questions.
- Once you have claimed your WakeID and set your password, you can access applications through the WakeID Portal.
- Students do not need to claim accounts. Refer to the Student Login tip sheet for additional details.
