By creating a new Gimkit Assignment, you can turn your kits into fun independent study activities that are graded automatically. The Gimkit assignments are ideal for homework, extra credit opportunities, and remote education. Here we have explained step by step guide to create a Gimkit Assignment and then how to start a Gimkit Live (gimkit/live) Game.
- First of all, Click on Assignment in the Left side of the screen of your Gimkit dashboard.
- Click on “New Assignment”
- Then you need to select the kit, you want to create an assignment for.
- Select the date and time the assignment must be completed by
- After this you will be required to choose the classes, you want to assign this Kit to.
- Then if you want to make any changes to the “Target Cash”, Maximum Time or Starting Cash then you can do a this step.
- At the last, click on “Create Assignment” Tab
- Congratulations! your Gimkit Assignment has been created successfully.
You would be required to copy the link to share it with your students so they can join your class. Copy link and share link can be done at after the assignment get fully created.
How to start a Gimkit Live Game
In order to start your kit as a Live Game please follow the step by step guide we have given below.
- Click on the “Kits” to select the Kit you want to play.
- Click the green color button “Play Live”.
- Select which game option you want to play: Time, Race, or All In (there is an explanation for each one).
- At this stage you can customize the time limit if you want.
- Select the class that will be playing your Kit.
- Now you will get two options – Classic and Team Mode.
- Select Classic (for a 1 to 1 game, like a Kahoot), or Team Mode for a team challenge.
- Click Continue
- Then you will see your game code (gimkit code) on the screen.
- Students can enter this gimkit code by navigating to gimkit.com/play on their device.
- Click on the Grey color button “Start Game” when all of your players are ready and have entered the gimkit code.
