What is an FAFSA ID?
This is not the FAFSA ID, but the FSA ID. FSA stands for Federal Student Aid. FAFSA is an application form, its extension is Free Application for Federal Student Aid
The FSA ID allows students and parents to identify themselves electronically to access Federal Student Aid websites.
How to create FSA ID in 2023?
If you don’t already have an account, you can create an account.
The account creation process consists of these main steps:
1. Go to “Create Account.”
2. Enter a unique username.
3. Enter your email address.
4. Enter a unique password.
5. Enter your name and date of birth.
6. Enter your mailing address.
7. Select your language preference.
8. Enter your mobile phone number. Select the box to indicate whether you want to register your mobile phone to receive one-time secure codes if you forget your username or password. (You’ll be required to provide either your email address or your mobile phone number and to opt in to messaging before you can proceed.)
9. For security purposes, complete the challenge questions and answers.
10. Confirm and verify your information.
11. Enable two-step verification by verifying your email address and/or mobile phone.
12. Write down your backup code.
13. Agree to the terms and conditions.
Verify your email address and/or mobile phone number. This is required to enable two-step verification and allows you to retrieve your username or reset your password without answering your challenge questions. You can also use your mobile phone number or your email address as your username when logging in to U.S. Department of Education systems.
