BYU-Pathway Worldwide was created to serve online students. It provides access to online certificates and degrees in association with BYU-Idaho and Ensign College. BYU Pathway Worldwide provides access to spiritually based degrees completely online at an affordable price.

Degrees are awarded by BYU-Idaho and Ensign College, while BYU-Pathway provides the resources to help you succeed.

2023 BYU Pathway Worldwide Application Important Dates

  • Spring Semester (Begins in April) : March 28
  • Fall Semester (Begins mid-September) : August 22
  • Winter Semester (Begins in January) : December 12

We encourage you to apply as early as possible in order to have time to receive other services you may need, such as financial aid, transfer credit evaluation, and advising, as well as better course selection. After accepting your offer of admission, you will have until Day 8 of the term to register for courses.

Eligibility Requirements to get admission in BYU-Pathway Worldwide in 2023

The following are requirements for admission to BYU-Pathway Worldwide:

  • Be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or have a close tie to the Church
  • Be at least 17 years old (with secondary school completion or equivalent) or over age 18 (with or without a secondary school completion or equivalent)
  • Attend weekly gatherings during the first three terms of your degree program
  • Strive to live by the CES Honor Code*
  • Be capable of university-level academic work
  • Complete an English proficiency assessment (for non-native English speakers)
  • Have daily access to a computer with high-speed internet and webcam/video chat capabilities

After the first six courses of your degree program (also known as PathwayConnect), you will need to have fulfilled the following requirements:

  • Earn a minimum 3.0 (“B”) cumulative GPA in your first three academic courses
  • Meet with your local Church leaders for a worthiness interview to get an ecclesiastical endorsement
  • Be in good standing (academic and financial) at any institution of higher learning previously attended
  • Be clear of any unresolved legal action (probation, fines, listed on a registry, etc.)

PathwayConnect, also known as Pathway, is the recommended start to every degree. Offered at a significantly reduced cost, Pathway lasts less than a year and includes foundational academic and religion courses — completely online — that help students see increased success. No ACT/SAT required for admission!

Yes, individuals of all faiths are welcome to enroll. Applicants who are not members of the Church will pay 25% higher tuition and must also meet all other admission requirements
